Hello everyone! My deepest apologies for this post coming out way past it's due date, life has been moving very quickly and I've been trying my best to keep up!

On the 3rd week, our class went on a field trip to visit the history of Toyota cars and the owner, Kiichiro Toyoda. Seeing all the mechanizations and how the company originally started out as a texile factory was incredible to learn about! There were so many interesting cars to see and I felt a connection to the past as I looked upon the evolution of cars.

I also went to Studio Ghibli Park with my host sister! This was a huge childhood dream come true as I grew up watching the movies. These movies were my first spark of fascination with the Japanese language and culture, and I'm so happy I was fianlly able to make my dream come true.

Over the weekend, my host family took me to see Takayama Village. The area used to be used as a space place to rest for soliders between battles, and now people can tour the area and see the replicated old style houses.

Thank you for reading!
